SyNOPSIS
History Through Human Stories
The documentary centers on the lives behind the records: miners, soldiers, entrepreneurs, families, and descendants whose stories connect Montenegro to towns and cities across America.
Blending research with visual storytelling, the film is designed to make overlooked history accessible, moving, and memorable for new audiences.

Milka (Mildred) Todorović, née Stanišić, was originally from Stanišići near Budva. We recorded an interview with Milka in Butte, Montana. Sadly, she passed away a few months after the filming at the age of 96, but through the documentary she left behind her memories for her son Rich and the rest of her family.
Jim Djurdjevic shared with us the story of his grandfather and grandmother, who came from Herceg Novi to Cochise County, Arizona, where they owned a small farm.
